Cernit is a man-made polymer clay which, once baked in an ordinary oven, becomes hard and strong yet flexible due to the polymers within it. There are various polymer clays currently available however Cernit is considered one of the strongest which has a porcelain-like finish making it very popular with doll makers and jewellery makers as well as crafters in general.
For more information on Cernit download the Cernit Info Sheet.
Efco's Texture Mats are ideal for using with polymer clay to create intricate multi-coloured 3D designs. You can use various techniques with the mats including Sutton Slice, Skinner Blend and mica shift. They are so flexible they make it easy to peel them away from the clay whilst leaving your design intact, something not possible with mounted rubber stamps. However they can also be used for rubber stamping and creating images for adult colouring.
To get you started with this fabulous craft product here are three project sheets ready to download for free today.
